Hello and welcome to my blog!
I'm Yasmin, a pharmacist, and a public health enthusiast in the last mile of getting a Master's of Public Health degree from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My career has focused on clinical research, research process management and human protection in research.
As the pandemic entered our lives, public health has transformed from dusted words on policy memos to a very integral part of our daily lives and survival. I have been passionate about public health ever since I was in pharmacy school and believe more people should be aware of it's importance in healthcare. I hope to use this space to help myself and those curious about public health make more sense of emerging and existing public health issues. I will bring up issues specific to the Middle East, dispelling misinformation and guiding people to a more evidence-based approach to understanding health.
When I'm not reading about public health, you'll find me baking things, spending time with my family and attempting to fit some sort of yoga into my day!
I hope you enjoy reading my posts and I look forward to learning from our conversations!
